The City of Bunkie is requesting submittal of qualification statements from engineering firms interested in providing engineering services for the Bunkie Municipal Airport. Potential projects, if funded, may include airport master plan development, pavement rehabilitation and construction, fencing replacement, apron extension, access road improvements, automobile parking lot extension, lighting rehabilitation, improvements to navigational aids, property acquisition, aircraft hangars, drainage improvements, obstruction removal, and other miscellaneous improvements that may become necessary during the contract period. Design and implementation are generally dependent upon LaDoTD funding. Required services may include administrative services, airport layout plan updates, cost estimates, airspace analysis, grant management services, topographical and property surveys, environmental clearance services, permitting services, preliminary plans, final construction plans and specifications, construction administration, and inspection. Firms interested in a three-year contract with the option for two one-year extensions must submit a statement of qualifications using the Standard Form 330 (SF 330). The selection process will adhere to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E and LaDoTD standards. Proposals will be scored based on criteria including resumes of the project team, example projects, and key personnel participation in those projects. The top three applicants may be shortlisted for further evaluation, and a final ranking will determine fee negotiations. The selected firm will execute a multi-year, multi-purpose service agreement and, if a project is funded, the standard LaDoTD Aviation Section contract.
