Sealed bids are requested for the project to rehabilitate Taxiways B, D, F, and G at Stuttgart Municipal Airport. The work includes joint sealing in existing concrete for a total of 23,000 linear feet. Bidders may examine the plans and specifications at the Stuttgart Municipal Airport Manager’s Office or at the office of Grimes Consulting Engineers. Copies of the plans and contract documents may be purchased from the engineers for $50.00 (non-refundable). Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s check, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equal to 5 percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must execute a contract and provide acceptable performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after notice of award. Bidders must comply with Executive Order 11246 and the Equal Opportunity Clause. All information required by the proposal form must be supplied. A Certification of Nonsegregated Facilities is required prior to contract award, and bidders must notify subcontractors of this requirement if the subcontract exceeds $10,000. The City of Stuttgart reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities, except for conditions affecting Executive Order 11246. Bids must remain effective for 60 days after the opening date. No plans or specifications will be provided to any plan rooms.
