The Town of Lynnfield is seeking Request for Proposal from Prime Contractors for the Lynnfield Public Library Roof Replacement at 18 Summer Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940. Bid Documents will be available in the Public Works Office located in Lynnfield Town Hall on the first floor at 55 Summer Street, Lynnfield, Massachusetts, or by emailing the contacts listed. Project Location: 18 Summer Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940 - Complete removal and replacement of existing shingle and rubber roofing, and removal and replacement of existing gutters and downspouts. Description of the Work 1. Complete removal and replacement of existing asphalt shingle and rubber roofing, and removal and replacement of existing gutters and downspouts. 2. Existing roofing (Asphalt Shingles and Rubber Roofing) shall be removed down to the top of the existing to remain roof sheathing/decking. At asphalt shingle roofs, new self-adhering rubberized asphalt underlayment shall be installed continuously throughout extent of roofing. At rubber roof conditions, a new protection board shall be provided on top of sheathing as a surface to receive the new EPDM membrane roofing. Existing metal flashing at various conditions shall be removed and replaced with new. 3. All gutters and downspouts shall be removed and replaced with new aluminum gutters and downspouts. Choice wood trim repair/replacement at underside of roof eaves shall occur upon removal of gutters. Removal, replacement, and painting of abutting wood siding from sidewall areas. 4. Removal and reconstruction of a small shingle canopy over the back entry/exit to library. The canopy is wood framed with a plywood deck and finished with asphalt shingles.
