Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Athens, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a 24,636-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and educational facility.

Sealed proposals are requested for a new addition and renovation to East Limestone High School for the Limestone County School District. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for a period of ninety days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the owner's judgment, the best interests of the owner will be promoted. A certified check or bid bond payable to the Limestone County School District in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the bid. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at contract signing. All bidders must ensure proper supervision of all work. Completion time is specified in the project manual. All inquiries regarding bid documents are to be made using the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual; no telephone or fax inquiries will be accepted. Pre-qualification requirements: All general contractors must contact the architect to receive the criteria for pre-qualification for this project, including submitting AIA Document A305 and Questionnaire. All bidders must have general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. Bidders must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current license number clearly on the outside of the sealed proposal envelope. Should any bidder observe any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the drawings and specifications, or in any other bid document, or be in doubt as to the intention and meaning of these documents, the bidder should immediately report such to the Architect and request clarification.
