Sealed proposals for the construction , including the supply of necessary labor , materials and equipment, of an electric project for CARTHAGE WATER & ELECTRIC PLANT ( hereinafter called the "Owner"), to be known as Project, POWERPLANT & PLANT SUB RELAY UPGRADE CONTRACT CW& EP- 26-1LM, located in Jasper County, Missouri This notice supplements the Notice and Instructions to Bidders included as a part of the contract . This project consists of replacing four ( 4 ) generator protection relays and seven ( 7 ) bus - tie protection relays . This project also includes the removal and addition of associated facilities . The Owner will furnish the relays , test switches , cover plates , control cables , and other materials and equipment as listed in the bidding documents . Materials to be furnished by the Contractor includes all other material . Bidder's Qualifications : Proposals will be accepted only from those pre - qualified Bidders invited by the Owner to submit a proposal . Bid Bond : Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified Check on a bank that is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation , payable to the order of the Owner , in an amount equal to ten percent ( 10 %) of the maximum bid price . Contractor's Bond : The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Contractor's Bond with sureties listed by the United States Treasury Department as Acceptable Sureties , in a penal sum not less than the contract price and which contract price shall include the total cost of Owner Furnished Materials . All orders must include the phone number and street address required for United Parcel Service delivery and a contact person with an email address to which subsequent notifications regarding this project can be sent . PDF format versions of the documents will be available in lieu of paper copies , if desired . A complete set of documents will be available by electronic access to those requesting electronic files .
