Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dunning, Nebraska. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids will be received for Single Armor Coat Surfacing. Each bidder shall submit pricing for Item No. 1 (Base Bid) and Item No. 1A (Bid Alternate). The bid must include unit prices for each line item shown in the estimated quantities, including the Base Bid and the Bid Alternate item. The estimated quantities are: 1. Single Armor Coat Surfacing - Base Bid: 95,670 Square Yards; 1A. Single Armor Coat Surfacing - Bid Alternate (County-Furnished Aggregate): 95,670 Square Yards. The Bid Alternate requires the Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, hauling from the County stockpile, placement, rolling, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work, while the County furnishes the aggregate. The Bid Alternate is to be quoted on a square yard basis and may be accepted or rejected at the County's discretion. The Bid Alternate only modifies the Base Bid with respect to aggregate supply. All other contract requirements remain unchanged. Bidders are responsible for obtaining a complete set of Bidding Documents, including all addenda. Each bidder must submit a certified check or bid bond payable without condition to the County Treasurer in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Base Bid Amount. The Owner reserves the right to award the Contract based on the Base Bid or the Bid Alternate, as determined to be in the best interest of the County, and to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
