The project scope includes approximately 22,000 square feet of concrete flatwork and 5,000 linear feet of Brick Thinwall wall with masonry columns and Entry Sign. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within 7 days after the date the Contractor is notified. Copies of the bidding documents may be purchased and picked up at the office of the Engineer for $100, or an electronic version may be obtained and downloaded for free by contacting a representative of the Engineer for the District. The Owner is not obligated to accept the lowest bid or any bid and reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids or in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 days from the date bids are open. If awarded the contract, bidders must provide a printed, executed, and notarized original of a completed Certificate of Interested Parties form (Form 1295) and a Verification of Compliance with Government Code Chapters 2252 and 2270 form.
