Design-bid-build, direct purchase (District owned), 86kWp PV shade canopy in an open space on a new construction site. The PV system will be tied into a new service panel in a load side connection. A portion of the underground AC conduit is already in place. Permit approval from City of Bakersfield is expected in April 2026. This project is anticipated to award the contract in May 2026 and is expected to be completed before the end of 2026. Bids are due on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM or at any other date or time as set by Addendum. Place of bid receipt is Greenfield Union School District, 1624 Fairview Road, Bakersfield, CA 93307. Bids must be delivered personally, by courier, or mailed via United States Postal Service. No fax or email responses will be accepted. Sealed bids must be marked with GREENFIELD UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT Project Name. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the base contract price. Attendance at the entire mandatory pre-bid meeting is required; failure to attend may result in bid rejection. This is a prevailing wage project. A Payment Bond for contracts over $25,000 and a Performance Bond for all contracts will be required. Contractors must possess a valid and active B-General Building Contractor license. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and submit electronic certified payroll records weekly.
