Professional engineering services are required for landfill, landfill gas, and transfer station engineering and field services. Services include providing engineering support for solid waste management facilities, which encompass three county-owned landfills (closed and contiguous), six residential drop-off centers, a 6NYCRR Part 360 Transfer Station, and a Material Recovery Facility. The project involves preparing and submitting environmental air quality monitoring and compliance reports, and detailing any problems or physical changes to gas wells for the inactive landfills. Reports should be submitted to the Commissioner of Public Works and the on-site Building Mechanic. The engineering firm is responsible for all necessary field data collection and gas system inspections, with the goal of eliminating odors from the landfill.
