Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The development work consists of three scopes of work: - Area grading including earthworks, site grading, import embankment fill, common excavation, and erosion and sediment control measures; - Underground utilities including supply and installation of water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewers, catch basins and covers, shallow utility pre-ducting for gas, electric, telecommunications, lighting, and irrigation, deepening an existing wet pond with forebay and liner repair, storm sewer tie-in with outfall structures, groundwater management and site dewatering, and horizontal direction drilling of force main with surface restoration; - Surface works including exposing and adjusting catch basins and manholes, road building with excavation, subgrade preparation, geotextiles and granular bases, installation of subgrade drains based on groundwater conditions, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, final grading and landscaping with topsoil, plantings, seeding, fencing, and installation of irrigation systems including meters and chambers.
