Renovation of a municipal facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 70,000-square-foot, five-story above grade municipal facility.

The purpose is to obtain competitive sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors for the completion of elevator upgrades, general building renovations, HVAC system improvements, and roof replacement at the Charlottesville facility, in accordance with all applicable specifications, codes, and project requirements. The project consists of the renovation and addition of the existing five- level, 70,000 SF manufacturing facility. The addition to the building includes an employee fixed canopy drop-off area. The renovations generally consist of HVAC and electrical infrastructure upgrades, replacement of the roofing, structural repairs, site improvements, ADA upgrades, reconfiguration of space to improve manufacturing processes. The project also includes Additive Bid I tem 1 - replacement of the freight elevator, Additive Bid Item 2 - generator replacement, and Additive Bid Item 3 - the repaving of the loading dock and parking lot. The building will remain occupied, and the work will be sequenced and phased to allow the plant to remai n operational during construction.
