Site work for a water / sewer project in Cherry Valley, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Proposals are being accepted for the Mill Road Watermain & River Crossing project. The work includes replacing approximately 230 lineal feet of 12" watermain, installing 250 lineal feet of new 12" watermain, 775 lineal feet of bored 12" watermain, installation of a fire hydrant assembly, installation of valves, earth excavation, furnished excavation, and site restoration. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Contractor's Certificate of Eligibility and a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount payable to the Village of Cherry Valley. Bidders are informed that construction funds are from local sources, payments to the successful contractor will be made monthly according to approved estimates, and there is a strong preference for employing local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades. Labor rates must comply with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the Village of Cherry Valley, Winnebago County, Illinois. The Village may reject any or all bids or waive information in the proposals. No bid may be withdrawn for forty five (45) days after bid opening without written consent from the Village.
