The NC Department of Public Safety requests experienced design firms to submit qualifications for design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout services for a new Standby/Backup Generator for the Dining Hall at the Samarcand Training Academy in Jackson Springs, NC (Moore County). Full design services are required, including all State Construction Office submittals for each phase, cost estimates updated at each phase, technical specifications edited with Masterworks in Masterspec 2006, bidding services, construction administration services, record drawings in AutoCAD (latest version) and Revit, and project closeout as defined by the State Construction Manual (Twelfth Ed.). Firms must submit three (3) copies of both a Letter of Interest and current Standard Form 254 (SF 254). The Letter of Interest should not exceed ten (10) single-sided or five (5) double-sided pages plus the SF 254. Submittals should be on 8-1/2" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left-hand corner and should not include notebooks, binders, tabs, or clips. E-mail and fax submittals are not accepted. In addition to paper copies, a PDF of the Letter of Interest and SF-254 should be emailed for electronic sharing. Firms must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in North Carolina. Selection criteria include specialized expertise, past performance, adequate staffing, current workload, proposed design approach, recent experience with costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, proximity to the project area, record of completed projects without major issues, and other relevant factors.
