As of April 28, 2026 the project has been awarded. The work consists of the rehabilitation of one home located in Cherokee County. Work will include carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and roofing, and must be completed in 15 working days. Work should begin within two weeks of notification, or the contractor will be charged $100.00 per working day for delays beyond the contract end date. Bidders must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up to be considered responsive/responsible. Preference will be given to bidders who are TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office; proof of certification must be provided. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules and regulations and TERO requirements. All fees and paperwork must be submitted to TERO for the contract to be executed. Bids may be submitted by email or hand delivery, and late bids will not be considered. HACN reserves the right to determine if a bid meets requirements, to award in the best interest of HACN, and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the due date. All costs associated with bid preparation and submission are the responsibility of the bidder. Tribal and Indian Preference will be given to bidders who provide current TERO certification. The successful bidder must complete the TERO Labor Agreement and pay all applicable fees, including a fee of 1/2 of 1% of the contract award and $25 per day per non-Indian employee working on the project.
