The City of Delta is accepting sealed bids for the repair and replacement of single-pane windows at 1133 Main Street. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids without disclosing the reason, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous and in the best interest of the City. The City of Delta is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to repair and replace singlepane windows at the former Power Plant building located at 1133 Main Street in Delta, Colorado. The project consists of reglazing and replacing damaged or missing window panes. There are approximately 434 individual window panes that require reglazing. Up to 250 panes are currently damaged, missing, or broken and will require replacement. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to complete the work, including but not limited to the following: o Removal and disposal of broken or damaged glass. o Preparation and cleaning of window frame clip holes. o Installation of new window clips (clips will be provided by the City). o Measurement, cutting, and installation of new 1/8-inch glass panes where panes are missing or damaged. Pane sizes will vary depending on the window opening. o Reglazing of all existing window panes that are not currently boarded over. o Safe operation of appropriate lift equipment capable of operating on a gravel surface in order to access elevated window areas. The building previously underwent asbestos remediation, during which the original window glazing was removed. This process resulted in damage to a majority of the window panes and has left the building exposed to the elements. The intent of this project is to restore the building envelope by replacing and reglazing the window panes. Project to be completed by November 30, 2026.
