Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gainesville, Florida. Working plans call for the construction of a 24,500-square-foot office development; and 5,300-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility.
Ajax has been selected as the Construction Manager for the City of Gainesville's new SW Public Safety Annex. This facility comprises a 24,500-sf public safety and community building, a 5,300 sf public works storage building (PEMB) and a 500-sf chiller yard. The public safety and community building is a combination of a 4'bay fire station and community gathering space. The structure will be concrete tilt walls with brick cladding, a standing seam metal roof over a sloped joist, deck, and flat roof areas. Interior finishes include but are not limited to wood casework, countertops, drywall partitions, paint, flooring and a complete slate of MEPs. Specialty equipment for the structure includes elevator, slide pole, signage and bath accessories.
