A complete bid package consists of the Form for General Bid, a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid, and any other forms required by the City of Worcester. Attendance at the walkthrough is strongly encouraged for those submitting a bid. Request for bids for the physical installation of the following at one district location with integration into the WPS network infrastructure: Forty-four (44) Interior Cameras Location: Worcester Technical High School 1 Officer Manny Familia Way Worcester, MA 01605 The supply of the cameras and mounts are not part of this bid. Cameras and mounts will be provided by the WPS. All other materials will be provided by the Vendor. Wiring and Mounting Requirements: Installation of one (1) Category 6 (CAT-6) plenum cable to each predetermined location. Vendors will be required to terminate to the nearest backbone IDF, provided room is available for additional patch panels. Vendors may be required to run cabling further than the nearest WPS IDF Any CAT6 run that exceeds the normal limit of 100 Meters, MUST use Paige Datacom Solutions Game Changer CAT6 cable. Use of Game Changer cable must be limited to 200 Meters. Any CAT6 run beyond 100 meters must be certified to a minimum of 1Gbps and capable of IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard for power delivery. Vendor is responsible for providing all patch panels, connectors, hangers, patch cables, mounting hardware and any other supplies necessary to provide a complete (turnkey) installation. Hangers must be used above ceiling tiles and may not be laid on top of tiles. Any wiring done below the ceiling must be piped in EMT. Vendor is responsible for providing watertight connections for exterior-mounted cameras and intercoms. Any exterior connections or enclosures must be watertight. All interior penetrations must be fire-stopped and the exterior caulked. Camera Installation: Integration of cameras will include a meeting, before project start, with WPS personnel to verify correct positioning and aiming of cameras. Integration will be considered complete only after verification, by Worcester Public Schools Technical Services, all work has been performed as per specification. No payment will be made before this verification.
