SCOPE OF WORK The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is accepting bids for work to be performed as described in the Scope of Work on behalf of the Public Works Department. The work involves labor and materials to replace the retaining wall and pour two (2) concrete generator pads at the Resource Center (CRC). The following specifications describe the minimum requirements for this project: Demo existing stone wall and footing (if applicable) as per the length indicated on attached drawings and dispose. (approx.26’-0” in length). Excavate and build retaining wall, including new generator slab area per drawings C1.01 & C1.02. (approx. 26’-0” l/f). Form and place concrete for the 2nd generator pad located on the opposite side of the campus. CHS will show the location in the field. The slab will be 6” thick x 6’-0” wide x 14’-0” long with #4 dowels 12” o.c. each way. Compacted 6” class 7 base under slab area. Remove existing chain link fence, including fence post spanning the length of the new retaining wall and pile on the side of the alleyway. Remove the existing deck stairway and replace it with like handrails. Backfill, form, and pour slab for generator area per plans next to new retaining wall (plan view Sht. C1.01). Include compacted 6” of class 7 under the slab area. Item #3 on Drawing C1.01 permit paid by CHS, pulled by Contractor in Contractor's name. Item # 7 on Drawing C1.01 by City of Hot Springs (CHS).
