The work consists of modernization of one 2,100 lbs. capacity standard in-ground hydraulic passenger elevator operating at 125 feet per minute at the Longview Public Library. The work to be performed includes the furnishing, providing, and installation of a car station, hall stations, controller/selector, electrical wiring in machine room/car/hoistway, car top inspection station, Firefighters' Emergency Operation, all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and all other elevator components in accordance with the Technical Specifications in Appendix A, as well as any other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All work performed will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable provisions of the 'WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction' 2026 Edition. Small, Minority, and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the City, waive any informalities, and delay the award of the bid. Bid submissions must be completed electronically through the Virtual Bid platform. A bid bond or other securities in an amount equal to at least five percent of the total bid price must accompany all bids. It is the responsibility of the bidder to check for addenda and submit an adequate response.
