The project includes acid washing and painting of two swimming pools at the Haworth Swim Club. All bids must be submitted in the prescribed proposal form. Bidders may inspect the pools prior to bidding by contacting the Department of Public Works for access. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check to the order of the Borough in an amount not less than ten percent of the bid or $20,000, whichever is less, and not less than $500 for each bid submitted. Bidders are required to comply with statutory requirements regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders, affirmative action, equal opportunity, and must furnish a list of subcontractors. All bids must include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate. The proposal must contain a consent of surety agreement under which the surety company agrees to provide a performance and payment bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract price if awarded.
