The City of Lynn invites sealed bids from contractors for the Fire Alarm Replacement at Cobbet Elementary School in Lynn, Massachusetts. The project consists of, but is not limited to, fire alarm upgrades. Bids must be submitted electronically and hard copy bids will not be accepted. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of Electrical and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility along with a signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. All general bids and sub-bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, including all alternates, made payable to the City of Lynn. Bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) must be submitted online by the specified deadline. Bid documents are available for review and download online at no cost, or seen in hard copy at the location provided. The Project consists of but not limited to: Full fire alarm system replacement including all notification and initiation devices shall be provided with all associated appurtenances such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, speaker/strobes, pull stations, etc. All new fire alarm devices shall be connected to an existing Siemens Model number FV-924 addressable fire alarm control panel with voice evacuation located int eh boiler room. The existing fire alarm control panel that serves Fecteau-Leary and Cobbet buildings. The work is estimated to cost $214,860.00.
