Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mettawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work consists of removal and replacement of approximately 4,295square yards existing gravel trail surface and associated work. The existing trail along the north side of Old School Road, from Bradley Road to St. Marys Road, is to be resurfaced. The trail is approximately 4,832 feet long. All questions concerning the bid document or specifications must be submit ted via email to the Village Engineer. A writ ten response will then be provided to all known bidders. No interpretations, clarifications or addenda will be issued after the fourth day prior to the scheduled bid opening. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Village of Mettawa. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any in informalities, irregular i ties, or defect in a proposal, should it deem it to be in the best interest of the Village to do so. The bid will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsible bidder as deter mined by the Village which will take into consideration the qualifications of the bidder, including but not limited to the proposed amount, conformity with the specifications, and any other information which will assist in making a decision. Payment will be made to the contractor for the quantities of work actually completed for each line item of the proposal.
