Town of Huntington is requesting written responses for exterior rot repair and painting of North Hall located at 40 Searle Road, Huntington, MA. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all responses if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town. Contractor shall perform the following work at North Hall located at 40 Searle Road, Huntington, MA with the following specifications: Remove and dispose of all rotted clapboards, corner trim, fascia board, brickmould, and window sills. Replace all rotted clapboards, corner trim, fascia board, and window sills with new wooden replacements. Replacement clapboards, corner trim, and fascia board should be a minimum of 2 feet in length. All boards must be primed on all sides prior to installation. Caulk all sections where new boards intersect with old boards. Replace all rotted brickmould around windows and doors with new composite brickmould. Caulk around new brickmould, doors, and windows, and any other previously caulked areas to seal out moisture. Scrape loose, peeling, and deteriorating paint from the entire exterior of the building including doors. After scraping, power wash building to remove dust, bugs, mold, etc. Building must be thoroughly dried before applying paint. Prepare all surfaces and apply primer and paint in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Prime the entire exterior of the building including doors , trim, gutters , downspouts, and small wooden railing (left side of building) with one coat of primer. Paint the exterior of the building including doors with two coats of white exterior paint. Paint the exterior trim, gutters, downspouts, and small wooden railing (left side of building) that is currently green, the same color green with two coats of exterior paint. Color sample to be verified with Town Administrator prior to application. Primer and paint to be used must be Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. It must be labeled for exterior use. Leftover paint shall be left onsite for Town of Huntington's future use for touch-ups. All non-painted areas shall be protected to avoid potential damage. All damaged and altered areas disturbed by the Contractor's operations shall be restored to pre-existing conditions at no additional cost to the Town. All project debris must be disposed of by the contractor. Normal hours of work will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
