Renovation of a museum in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Remove existing roofing and underlayment to MTL decking (roof C) or LWCF (roofs D-H). For Roof C, mechanically attach two layers of 2.2-inch Poly-iso Insulation and one layer of 1/2-inch coverboard, apply one layer of SBS-modified bitumen fiberglass mat base ply in cold asphaltic adhesive, and install one ply of granule surfaced SBS-modified bitumen cap ply in cold asphaltic adhesive. For Roofs D-H, adhere vented base sheet, apply one layer of SBS-modified bitumen fiberglass mat base ply in cold asphaltic adhesive, and install one ply of granule surfaced SBS-modified bitumen cap ply in cold asphaltic adhesive. Install new metal flashing around the perimeter of the flat roof area. Install new access ladders. Install new walk pads as indicated on drawings. All phases of work shall be bid to and through the Prime Contracting Firms. Bids shall be submitted on the Official Form supplied by the Division of Engineering and Contract Administration. Failure to comply with bid requirements will be cause for invalidation. Award shall be issued to the lowest-cost responsive bid properly submitted by a responsible bidder. Bidder's Qualifications, List of Unit Prices, List of Proposed Subcontractors, and List of Materials are required to be submitted with the bid. All documents related to this project shall be processed using the Owner's Document Collaboration System (eComm). Each demolition/renovation project must comply with Kentucky Division of Air Pollution Control Regulation 401 KAR 57:011, including notification to the Division of Air Pollution Control ten days before starting the project. Use of any tobacco products is prohibited in all Executive Branch buildings and parking lots and on the grounds. The contractor shall comply with all terms and conditions of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1978 for projects exceeding $500,000. Domestic and foreign corporations shall be registered with the Kentucky Secretary of State and declared to be in good standing prior to award of contract.
