Site work for a water / sewer project in Wellston, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for "Water Treatment Plant Improvements - Phase 2." The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in an amount equal to the sum of the bid, or a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Letter of Credit for ten percent of the contractor's bid as bid security. If a check or letter of credit is used, a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Material Payment Bond are required upon contract signing. Federal Prevailing Wage Rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements apply. The procurement is subject to the EPA policy for small business participation in rural areas and the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Evidence of participation in the EDGE Program or a waiver request must be submitted. The EDGE Participation Goal is 5.0 percent. Domestic steel use and American Iron & Steel (AIS) requirements apply. Bidders must submit evidence of experience with projects of similar size and complexity, and all contractors and subcontractors must, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Project Cost Estimate is $12,000,000.00 The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, and the Right to Accept the Lowest and Best Bid, the Right to Waiver Minor Irregularities on Any Bid, and the Right to Accept the Bid Proposal Which Promotes the Best Interest of the Owner. Failure to Submit the Bid Guaranty Bond and the Required Notarized Affidavits With the Bid Shall Be Cause for Considering the Bid Submission Incomplete and for the Rejection of the Bid.
