Site work and paving for a road / highway in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Durham Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the project described above. This project consists of installing vertical protection in bike lane buffers along two corridors and wayfinding signage for several neighborhood bike routes. Both subprojects require significant amounts of specialty pavement markings, including bike lane green and preformed thermoplastic. This project shall conform to the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, January 2024 and any addendum. The completion date is 240 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed. Liquidated damages for this project are $600.00 per calendar day for failure to complete this project by the completion date. In accordance with the City's Equal Business Opportunity Program (EBOP), this project has participation goals of 0% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 7% Women Business Enterprise (WBE) of the contract value.
