A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Rochester-Olmsted Council of Governments (ROCOG), acting as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Rochester, MN urbanized area, is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to assist with the preparation of the Northwest Expansion & Transportation (NEXT) Plan. This is a comprehensive transportation and land use plan for corridors northwest of the City of Rochester. The selected consultant will be responsible for providing technical analysis, multimodal planning, land use evaluation, corridor-level investigation, and developing an implementation framework to guide future development and transportation investment. The consulting services budget is not to exceed $225,000. The plan aims to aid state, county, and local jurisdictions in understanding existing issues, anticipated growth, and long-term transportation and land use needs of the study area.
