Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brady, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a 3,344-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; municipal facility; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and municipal facility.
As of 6/10/2026, this project has been tabled currently until further notice. The one and only bid received was formally rejected by the City of Brady City Council due to cost. The City of Brady is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from general contractor companies for improvements at the Brady Animal Control Facility and the construction of new pickleball courts at an existing city-owned location. Bidders must have experience with the new construction of a state-regulated animal control facility and be able to demonstrate a completion record for such facilities. Proposals will be ranked based on price (50%), experience (25%), and capacity (25%). Responses must include a bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the total proposal price in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check. Sealed responses must be labeled appropriately and delivered to the City Secretary by the stated deadline. Interested parties must access all RFP documents and submit inquiries via the designated website.
