Site work and new construction of a military facility in Haneytown, New Brunswick. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 97,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 60-room military facility.

The scope of work includes the design and construction of three (3) Category I (Cat I) temporary training accommodations buildings at the 5th Canadian Division Support Base (CDSB) Gagetown to address deficiencies in the existing infrastructure. The contract will involve the design and construction of a three-storey temporary training style accommodations building with a foundation footprint of approximately 3,000m2 and a total gross area of about 9,000m2. The building will feature 60 bedrooms capable of accommodating 4 to 12 soldiers each, classroom training spaces totaling approximately 1,800m2, centralized washroom and shower facilities, and 900m2 of laundry and equipment cleaning storage space. The scope also includes required underground infrastructure and all preliminary and final site works. The project must meet the requirements of DAOD 5024-0 DND Living Accommodations, DND Living Accommodations Instructions, the DND Defence Climate and Sustainability Strategy, ADM(IE) Green Building Directive, and the Government of Canada Greening Government Strategy. TIMELINE: An Advance Procurement Notice (APN) has been issued to notify the industry of the upcoming procurement process for this project in June 2026. The contract may initially include the design of one accommodation building with the potential for two additional buildings to be added by change order, depending on availability of DND funding. Bidders are instructed to begin the security clearance application process as early as possible if they do not already hold the required security clearance. To be eligible, bidders must actively hold or obtain all required security clearance(s), with the anticipated level being Designated Organization Screening (DOS).
