The project involves the FEMA Funded 119 South Bell Avenue Elevation for Yardley Borough. Sealed bids are to be submitted electronically for this elevation project, which is partially funded by the Flood Mitigation Assistance Program (FEMA). Bidders are required to provide Bid Security equal to 10% of the total bid amount, which may be in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed in Pennsylvania. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract value. Upon completion, a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value is also required. Bidders must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961 for projects costing $25,000 or more. Only the successful bidder will be responsible for paying a fee to PennBid, calculated as either 1/3% of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6% for term contracts, with a minimum fee of $100 and a maximum capped at $5,000.
