Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hilo, Hawaii. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The project will install and test smart intersection technology at five locations to improve roadway safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation riders, drivers, and other roadway users. Work includes installation, testing, and data collection using artificial intelligence technologies. The five locations are the intersections of W. Kawili Street and W. Puainako Street; W. Kawili Street and the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo entrance; W. Kawili Street and Kapiolani Street; W. Puainako Street and Kino‘ole Street; and Kamehameha Avenue and Pauahi Street.
