The scope of work includes the installation of a 15'-9" W x 8' H Aluminum Box Culvert with a solid bottom, aluminum wing-walls, excavation of the new box culvert, channel lining, new guiderail system, bituminous roadway pavement; implementation of erosion and sedimentation controls and compliance with the PaDEP permit; select backfill materials, traffic control, disposal of debris and unsuitable excavated material, final pavement restoration, site restoration, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration related to the construction. The project also involves relocating the intersection of 12th Avenue and Steffon Hill Road (S.R. 588) 48.65' west of the existing intersection, tying into the existing 12th Avenue alignment approximately 217' south of S.R. 588. The existing bridge is proposed to remain. All bidders are required to buy the Bid Documents in PDF format for a non-refundable deposit of $175.00. Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished and be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond amounting to ten percent (10%) of the bid. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt. The contractor must comply with Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates and all requirements associated with a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant from PennDOT. Procurement is subject to the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. Compliance is also required with Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, PA Code Title 16, Chapter 49, Section 101 (Nondiscrimination Clause), and the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause included in the contract documents.
