The scope of work includes remodeling one existing large classroom to create two new classrooms; selective demolition of flooring, lay-in ceilings, CMU partition and exterior wall, HVAC, lighting, and power; installation of new metal stud and gypsum partition wall, new HM door and frame, infill using CMU partition, new exterior window for egress, painting, floor finish patching, new HVAC heat pump unit and new ductwork, relocation of existing lighting, and some new power outlets. Instructions to bidders include that all bids must be sealed and received at the designated location before the deadline. Each bid must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship with the Superintendent or Board of Education members, and a certified check, money order, or bid bond for not less than five percent of the bid amount. Bids must be from prime bidders and include all subcontractor costs as identified in the contract documents. All bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Form. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive irregularities. Contract documents will be distributed electronically and it is the bidder's responsibility to reproduce them if desired. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting as noted.
