Installation of Duct Bank on STOCKING AVENUE from 1st Street to 4th Street. Furnish all parts, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and other facilities and things necessary and proper for and incidental to the proper performance and completion of the work specified in the Contract Documents, including the drawings and specifications, and as required by the City Manager and City Engineer. Begin construction within seven (7) calendar days after a Contract is executed (unless otherwise indicated in the Special Provisions) and complete the work by the listed dates. Final Completion Date: September 11, 2026 This work consists of the construction of a new duct bank alongside an existing duct bank, replacement of one manhole, and replacement of the riser at 4th Street Northwest and Stocking Avenue Northwest, including all removals and restoration to complete the work. The EBO - Construction Policy and Administrative Guidelines include bid discount provisions. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with the City of Grand Rapids prequalification and license requirements. A certified cashier's check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] and/or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids at its discretion. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest.
