Sealed proposals are requested for the design-build of a 300’ guyed telecommunications tower for Schleicher County. PROJECT OVERVIEW. The County seeks proposals for a complete design-build telecommunications tower project, including engineering, fabrication, and installation of a replacement tower and associated infrastructure. The contractor shall deliver a fully operational communications tower system suitable for supporting public safety radio communications. The County anticipates construction of a guyed tower with a minimum height of 300 feet. 4.2. STATEMENT OF WORK. The successful proposer shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering services, and supervision necessary to deliver a complete turnkey communications tower project. The detailed Statement of Work is included as Exhibit A and includes: o Site evaluation o Geotechnical investigation o Structural engineering o Tower fabrication o Permitting o Foundation construction o Tower erection o Grounding and lightning protection o FAA obstruction lighting (if required) o Final commissioning Design responsibility rests entirely with the Contractor. Engineering documents must be sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas. Scope of Services The Contractor shall provide all services necessary to deliver a complete and operational communications tower system, including but not limited to the following: 4.1. Site Evaluation and Due Diligence o Perform a detailed site inspection and geotechnical investigation. o Conduct soil borings and foundation analysis sufficient to design tower foundations. o Evaluate site footprint constraints, guy anchor locations, access requirements, and expansion capability. o Verify availability and adequacy of utilities. o Identify any environmental or regulatory constraints. The Contractor shall rely on its own investigation for design purposes. 4.2. Engineering and Design The Contractor shall provide complete engineering and design services, including: A.
