Sealed proposals are requested for the Rehabilitation of Well No. 1 and 2 Pipe Trenches. Digital bidding documents are available for download for a non-refundable fee, and hard copies can be obtained upon deposit. Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond for at least five percent of the total bid amount as a commitment to enter into a contract if awarded. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed in the Owner's best interest. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after being publicly opened and read. A. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate existing pipe trenches for public water supply Wells No. 1 and 2 for the Franklin Square Water District. The rehabilitation shall include replacing existing large piping, chemical piping, valves, supports, and accessories. B. All work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall be the work of this Construction Contract. The Owner does not anticipate awarding other prime contracts for the project as shown. C. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contract associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following for both Wells No. 1 and 2: 1. Project closeout submittals. 2. Remove and dispose of existing piping, valves, fittings, and supports below the discharge elbow to existing large piping connections. 3. Install new motorized valves, check valves, and electromagnetic flow meter. 4. Rearrange piping for meter clearance. 5. Provide new chemical injection taps for sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. 6. Remove and replace chemical piping/tubing. 7. Install ladder-up safety post on Well No. 1 ladder. 8. Install new piping, valves, fittings, and supports in the trench. 9. Paint new pipes, and repaint existing connections. 10. Remove and replace existing check limit switches. 11. Integrate new electromagnetic flow meters to the PLC. Digital Bidding Documents may be obtained on or after Thursday, April 2, 2026, from the following website: h2mplanroom.com as an online download for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), paid by credit card. Mail the deposit to the office of the District's Engineer, H2M architects + engineers, 538 Broad Hollow Road, New York 11747, attn: Hayden Cline. Please simultaneously email a scanned copy of the deposit check to the following address: hcline@h2m.com; cc: gnogid@h2m.com. Upon electronic receipt of the scanned check, H2M will forward a copy to REVplans to initiate the addition of the bidder to the bidder's list, and release the printing of hard copy Bidding Documents. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. If a hardcopy of the deposit is not received by H2M, the District reserves the right to reject the bid submission. Deposits for the plans and specifications will be completely refunded to bidders and non-bidders who make a request to H2M to get the deposit check back and return the hard copy plans and specifications in good condition to H2M architects + engineers within ten (10) days (Weekends & Holidays excepted) following the bid date. No deposit will be refunded after ten (10) days following the bid opening.
