Specific duties include coordinating with City staff to confirm goals and expectations, conducting a project kickoff meeting, reviewing materials, evaluating existing site conditions, and gathering community feedback through inclusive engagement. The consultant will analyze potential locations for a nature play area, considering environmental, accessibility, and infrastructure needs. Based on community input and site analysis, a conceptual design should be developed, reflecting the mission and character of the site and including natural materials to encourage nature-based play. The consultant is also responsible for preparing graphics and planning materials for grant applications, providing preliminary cost estimates, and delivering final conceptual design graphics and site plans suitable for presentations and funding purposes. Proposals must be limited to six pages (excluding cover letter, resumes, cost proposal, and project examples) and submitted electronically in PDF format. Late submissions will not be accepted. All proposals become public record after the selection process and remain the property of the City of Roseville.
