Design-build renovation of the Radiation Oncology Department located in the basement level of the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, encompassing approximately 13,508 square feet of existing space. Work includes phased demolition and reconstruction; installation of a new CT Simulator suite and removal of the existing unit; medical-grade architectural finishes; specialized radiation shielding design; installation of a ceiling-mounted patient lift; and integration of Liebert HVAC systems. The project also requires upgrades to electrical, lighting, plumbing, medical gas, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems, along with replacement of the first-floor air-handling unit serving the renovated area. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and coordination, including direct coordination with the CT equipment manufacturer for demolition, utility requirements, and installation support. All design-build architect and engineering services, investigations, and construction period services are included, with design compliant with VA Design Guides, VA Master Specifications, VA physical security requirements, and applicable codes such as IBC, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality standards.
