Renovation of a multi-residential development in Newport, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
A. Provide all labor and materials, including but not limited to, furnaces, heat pumps, heat kits, thermostats, filter racks, bases, pumps ups, overflow switches, whips, disconnects, Freon, etc. to replace Eleven (11) electric HVAC systems 15 seer or above with new and dispose of all old equipment at 7018th. St., Newport, KY 41071. B. Scope of Work is described in these specifications dated April 3, 2026. Each bidder shall examine the sites and any other relevant data they wish to consider and shall decide for themselves the character of the materials to be encountered. C. All materials shall comply with Kentucky Residential Code Requirements. D. Owner will obtain HVAC permits from local building department. Sealed bids are requested for labor and equipment for the replacement of electric HVAC systems with heat pumps at a property located at 70 18th St. in Newport, Kentucky. Bids must include a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of Newport, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond equal to five percent of the bid amount. The selected contractor must complete all HVAC replacement services within ninety days of bid acceptance. Instructions for bidders include: Bids must be marked "HVAC Replacement 70 18th. St.". Contract documents are available by contacting the designated email. Attention is called to compliance requirements with Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, E.O. 11246, and Title VI. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to participate. Bids cannot be withdrawn within thirty days after opening. The Housing Authority reserves rights to waive informalities, irregularities, or defects, and to reject any or all proposals. The intent is to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
