Description: Windows/Exterior Masonry/Roofs at PS 66 (Queens). Scope of Work and Instructions to Bidders: - Firms must be currently prequalified with the SCA and, if bidding in excess of $3,000,000, must be qualified to perform work greater than Three Million Dollars, and must have applicable experience for this scope of work as of the bid opening date and time. - The lowest responsive, responsible bidder and its subcontractors of any tier performing work must become signatory to, and be bound by, the provisions of the Project Labor Agreement (PLA). - As of December 30, 2024, all contractors and subcontractors must register with the Department of Labor and submit a Certificate of Registration with their bid. - Solicitation documents and addenda must be obtained via the BidSet Website at https://bidset.nycsca.org utilizing the Solicitation Number in the specified format. - Contractors must review insurance requirements, including Contractor-furnished insurance, SCA-furnished Insurance Coverage, Builders Risk Coverage and Deductibles, and the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). The OCIP Manual is available at http://www.nycsca.org/Vendor/Insurance. - Upon request, the apparent low bidder must submit a bid breakdown using a Project Specific Template within seventy-two (72) hours after the bid opening or as requested. - Bidders must include in their Lump Sum Bid Amount a total allowance of $17,000 as specified in Technical Specification Section S01010 Summary of Work, Article 1.03. - All bid amounts must be in whole dollars only; bidders shall submit a Lump Sum Bid Amount in the form attached as Appendix A to the Construction Contract to complete the project within the Performance Period after normal school hours under the conditions specified in the Contract Documents, inclusive of the Phasing Exhibit. - A Bid Bond (or Certified Check) for 5% of the Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form (Appendix A). - Bids must be submitted via the SCA Bonfire Procurement Portal only, and all bidders must be prequalified by the SCA at the time of the Bid Opening or the bid will be deemed non-responsive. - Specific instructions for registration and bid submission process are provided, and all required documentation must be uploaded via the portal. - The "Wicks" trades work requirement does not apply for this solicitation, as the value of each trade is less than $10,000 or there is no "Wicks" trade work under this solicitation. - All bidders must sign and return a PLA Letter of Assent with the required bonds when notified of award, or they will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for contract award. - Contractors must be enrolled in the NYC Financial Management System for payment processing. - Further bidder information, including requirements for bonds and other documentation, is provided in Appendix F Information for Bidders.
