Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Drainage Facilities to serve Lakeside Bayou Section 4D. Bids may be submitted at the specified engineering office or electronically via the designated website. Bid documents are available for examination at several locations or can be obtained for a fee. All bids must include bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified, or cashier's check, not less than five percent of the bid amount. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder will be selected as the responsible bidder deemed most advantageous for the District, aiming for the best and most economical completion. Bidders are required to comply with Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Texas Government Code, related to government contracts, and may be required to provide documentation of compliance. Participation in a non-mandatory pre-bid conference is available. Bid security in the form of bid bond, certified or cashier's check payable to Galveston County Municipal Utility District No. 53 in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid submitted, must accompany each Bid. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. As necessary, interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Verbal discussions and answers are not binding.
