PROJECT SCOPE: New Track & Field Practice Area Bidders shall notify the Architect of any error or inconsistency in the documents that they find in the Bidding Documents or in their site examination. Bidders needing clarifications or interpretations shall submit a written request to the Architect. No oral interpretations of the Bidding Documents will be made, and no oral instructions will be given before the award of the contract. Clarifications will be furnished to Bidders by addendum, and each addendum shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form. All addenda shall become a part of the Contract Documents. The Owner and their employees are not authorized to give oral instructions or interpretations. Only written interpretations by the Architect by Addendum shall be binding. Hills Beaver Creek Public Schools ISD #671 invites bids for all sections for the New Elementary School located in Beaver Creek, MN, specifically for a new Track & Field Practice Area. Bids will be received for separate prime contracts managed by R. A. Morton and Associates, LLC, Construction Managers. Each bid in excess of $20,000 must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the maximum amount of the bid in the form of a Surety Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier’s Check. Each successful prime contract bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract if the contract exceeds $20,000. Surety must be authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Each successful “Prime Contract” bidder must provide signed contract agreements, certificate of insurance, W9 form, payment and performance bonds, listing of suppliers/subcontractors, and schedule of values within ten days of receipt of contract and/or notification of acceptance of this bid. Failure to comply may result in rejection of the Contractor’s bid and forfeiture of the bid bond. Prevailing wage requirements are not required. Bidders acknowledge the owner’s right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid, waive informalities in submitted bids, and waive minor discrepancies in bidding procedures. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days immediately following the date of receipt of bids. It is the intent of the Owner to take advantage of their tax-exempt status as a Minnesota Public Corporation to exclude state sales tax from material only bids and contracts. All material and labor or labor only bid packages should include state sales tax. A Sales Tax Refund Request form (ST11) may be required during the project.
