SUSD | Dena Boer Elementary School - Modular Classroom & Sitework #2 Removal of existing modular classroom building and site improvements (landscaping and play equipment). Replacement of existing concrete walkways. Removal of portions of the existing fencing and installation of new decorative metal and chain-link fencing. Sitework, utility installations, and final utility connections for the installation of a new Owner-Furnished Owner-Installed permanent modular building. Installation of new concrete paving, landscaping and irrigation systems. Installation of new Fire Alarm and low-voltage systems within the modular building. Bidders are required to possess a valid State of California Class B contractor’s license and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids must be submitted on the form provided by the District, accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District. The successful bidder must meet or make a good faith effort to meet the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal. All workers must be paid not less than the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. This Project Consist of the Following: Addition of (1) Modular P.c. Classroom Building. Site Upgrades to Include: Removal of Existing Turf, Existing Play Area, and Existing Concrete Pavement for New Concrete Pavement. Utility Connections and Landscape Work.
