The work consists of refurbishing and planting of Causeway Boulevard according to design plans on Sanibel Island. Proposals must be properly and completely executed on a standard proposal form. Each proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Sanibel, or an acceptable Bidder's Bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price. The successful contractor will be required to furnish an acceptable Surety Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bidders may not withdraw their proposal within sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving proposals. The City of Sanibel reserves the right to hold any or all bids for up to sixty (60) days during which said bids shall remain valid and in full force and effect. The City also reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities. Mandatory Pre-bid Conference: None NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER: APRIL 27, 2026. The contract work provides for the Causeway Boulevard Planting Project and other related items pertinent and incidental thereto including the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, work and services, ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. B. The work included in this contract is described briefly as follows: Causeway Boulevard Planting Project (See Project Plans) C. Project award is anticipated for the June 2, 2026 City Council meeting and the contractor shall be prepared to begin construction within two (2) to three (3) weeks following award. The successful bidder shall be prepared to complete the work within ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) Calendar days.
