Reference Number 0000418891 The scope of work addresses the remediation of all outstanding priority 1 and priority 2 ADA deficiencies at Wellington Landings Middle School. The work is based on the findings and recommendations outlined in the Architect's consulting group phase 1 assessment, along with previously completed ADA reports. The description below is a general overview and does not list every individual violation to be addressed. Please refer back to the assessment reports and drawings for a complete understanding of Contractor responsibilities. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Installation of new ADA-compliant sidewalks; construction of a new accessible loading zone; repair of existing sidewalk gaps; installation of compliant signage; and the creation of new ADA parking spaces with restriping and asphalt resurfacing as required. The interior scope of work includes: Installation of ADA-compliant signage; replacement and modification of door hardware; full renovation of specific single restrooms to meet accessibility standards; partial renovation of group of restrooms; new plumbing fixtures and accessories where noted; replacement of drinking fountains; modification of casework; fabrication and installation of metal components for accessible ramp at backstage room in dining; drywall extensions; and relocation of AED cabinets to ensure compliance. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of $17,000.00. The Guarantee shall be in the form of either a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check payable to The School District of Palm Beach County. All Bidders must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for receipt of Bids for a period of 60 days. A five percent (5%) Bid Preference has been established for this Project. This Bid Preference will be applied to Bids submitted by firms meeting the requirements for SBE and Certified as SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (SBE) by the School District of Palm Beach County Office of Small Business Development (OSBD).
