Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,560-square-foot, three-story above grade fire / police facility.
Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Training Burn Building Sealed bids are requested for the construction of an NFPA 1400 Fire Training Burn Building at 8201 Greenwood Road, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. All proposed conceptual and engineering documents, including structural drawings and technical specifications, must be certified by a licensed professional engineer compliant with NFPA 1400, OSHA, and state and local building codes. Proposals must be bondable for full performance and labor and material payment bonds. Bids must be received in a sealed envelope marked for the Fire Training Burn Building Project and delivered to the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District. The district reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Question Deadline 04/15/2026 at 5:00 PM ET All questions should be directed to: Eric Duffy, Assistant Chief, in writing by email at eduffy@prpfire.org. All requests for clarification and additional information must be made in writing. Written requests for clarification and additional information must be received by email to eduffy@prpfire.org by 5:00PM local prevailing time April 15 , 2026, to ensure adequate time to prepare and circulate any necessary addenda to all Bidders. Construct and install a 2,560 square feet Class A, three (3) story, three (3) level live fire training tower for the purpose of providing live fire training to Firefighters in a controlled environment, meeting all NFPA 1400 and OSHA applicable codes standards and recommendations, as well as any addenda. The unit’s training capabilities will include, but are not limited to, interior and exterior tactical fire attack, ventilation (vertical and horizontal), direct and indirect fire attacks. The training facility will be designed for basic Firefighter training as well as providing current training for the experienced Firefighter. This training prop is intended for use as a non-occupied structure for fire and smoke training. The facility must meet all OSHA and NFPA codes, standards, and recommendations for the facility type.
