The City of Tucson is conducting a competitive process to retain one consultant to provide professional engineering services for the Hydro-pneumatic Tank Assessment & Rehabilitation Program. Tucson Water operates and maintains nearly 400 potable and reclaimed hydro-pneumatic tanks, which are critical assets within the city's water delivery system. The effort seeks to formalize and enhance previous inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement, and rehabilitation activities under a dedicated program to ensure systematic evaluation, rehabilitation, and preservation of tank assets. The selected engineering consulting firm is expected to have demonstrated expertise in hydro-pneumatic tank evaluation, inspection, rehabilitation, and design. Services may include condition assessments, structural and coatings evaluations, rehabilitation design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimating, and construction support. The goal is to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions that extend the service life of the tanks, optimize operational performance, and protect the city's long-term investment in critical water infrastructure.
