Lee County, Florida, is requesting quotes from qualified individuals or firms to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace damaged bottom chord horizontal bridging, diagonal X-bridging, and light-gauge metal roof decking at the existing canopy structure. Interested parties are instructed to submit their quote in accordance with the specifications prior to the date and time specified. Quotes may be submitted electronically via Ion Wave, by email to the Procurement Analyst listed, or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the solicitation name, solicitation number, vendor name, and contact information. All requested attachments and information must be included as specified, and the Bid Invitation must be signed and dated. The Scope of Work/Specifications and official information must be obtained from https://leegov.ionwave.net. Incomplete, corrupted, or otherwise inaccessible submissions may be disqualified from evaluation. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 4/15/2026 05:00:00 PM (ET) 13.1. Bottom Chord Horizontal Bridging Replacement 13.1.1. Remove and replace all bottom chord horizontal bridging from: 13.1.1.1. The splice location to the right end of each affected joist (typical of all locations). 13.1.1.2. The first panel points to the left of the splice location through the right end of the joist (typical of all locations). 13.1.2. Replacement of bridging shall: 13.1.2.1. March existing size, configuration, and material (minimum equivalent strength). 13.1.2.2. Be installed plumb, aligned, and fully connected by original design intent. 13.1.2.3. Be installed in accordance with Steel Joist Institute (SJI) standards.13.2. Diagonal X-Bridging Replacement 13.2.1. Remove and replace the first two (2) bays of diagonal X-bridging from the splice location to the right end of the joist (typically at all affected locations). 13.2.2. If additional X-bridging is determined to be damaged, as identified by the General CONTRACTOR or Engineer, such bridging shall also be removed and replaced as required. 13.2.3. Replacement X-Bridging shall: 13.2.3.1. Match existing member size and configuration. 13.2.3.2. Be properly tensioned and aligned. 13.2.3.3. Be fully connected in accordance with SJI standards. 13.3. Light-Gauge Metal Roof Deck Replacement 13.3.1. General Requirements: Where existing light-gauge metal deck is damaged, the CONTRACTOR shall remove and replace deck panels as required. 13.3.1.1. Minimum deck thickness: 20 gauge (1 1/2 " profile minimum unless otherwise noted). 13.3.1.2. Replacement decking shall align with the existing deck panel width. 13.3.1.3. Do not cut decking parallel to the deck span. 13.3.1.4. Do not cut the deck between existing joist supports. 13.3.2. Deck Panel Layout: Where decking is replaced, new decking must be installed as a minimum 3-span condition. 13.3.2.1. Start and stop at existing joist supports. 13.3.2.2. Be installed in a minimum three-span configuration. 13.3.2.3. Not to terminate between supports. 13.3.2.4. Maintain existing deck span direction. 13.4. Deck Attachment Requirements. 13.4.1. Deck-to-Joist Attachment: 13.4.1.1. Attach deck to existing joists using 1/2 -inch diameter puddle welds. 13.4.1.2. Weld pattern: 36/7 minimum pattern. 13.4.1.3. Welds shall achieve full fusion and proper penetration. 13.4.2. Side Lap Fastening 13.4.2.1. Attach new deck side laps to existing decking with: 13.4.2.1.1. Three (3) 10 TEK screws per side lap. 13.4.2.1.2. Fastening shall maintain diaphragm continuity
