Site work for a civil project in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Roadway flooding has been alleviated during normal rain events at the intersection of Marcliff Road and Lexington Drive. During flash flood events the high flows overwhelm the system and bypass the inlets. There are 2 alternative solutions, but the second alternative will be used. For alternative #2, new systems are proposed along the right-of-ways of Marcliff road, Metric Drive, and Fairway Drive. It will also provide a 10-year level of service for the entire system by installing new RCP pipes and replacing existing RCP pipes with larger RCP pipes. The costs shown are using alternative #2's costs, because they are higher than #1's The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 07 , 2026 , further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
