Site work and paving for a road / highway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposes to resurface approximately 2.92 miles of U.S. 1 (South Ridgewood Avenue) from Beville Road (State Road 400) to north of Fairview Avenue in the cities of Daytona Beach and South Daytona, Volusia County. The project also includes corridor safety improvements such as installing four new midblock pedestrian crossings with Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs), restriping the roadway to add buffered bicycle lanes, modifying the median opening at U.S. 1 and Shady Place to reduce crashes, and constructing a raised intersection at Orange Avenue.
